Ready to Go To War in Taxi Driver

Robert Deniro (1943 - ) Americas finest character actor Bobby D. has done so much with such diverse roles that he has the enviable position of being linked with some of films most memorable characters. Vito Corleone, Al Capone, Jake Lomatta are just a few. But looking for a favorite many of us come back to Travis Bickle the seething misfit in the Taxi Driver. Deniro makes us want to leave the Movie Theater and punch out the first clown we see. Thats inspiring
This started with an actual life cast
mask of Robert DeNiro.
Then it has been sculpturaly
enhanced by me Erick Erickson.
The Hair, ears and eye brows
have been added to create a very
lifelike display.
I sculpted the eyes open
showing a very disturbing expresion and added
the Mohawk and Flack Jacket.

All of the original detail of the
historic cast has been preserved.
So the work of art you get has
a direct link to Robert DeNiro.
It's like having Travis right there
with you. Very Scary.
I am a fan and do what I do with
love that you can see in the
final work of art.
I watched Taxi Driver while I
sculpted to further infuse the spirit of
DeNiro as Bickle.

The finished piece is cast in USG's Tuf-Cal gypsum cement,
it is fiber filled and has polymer additves to assure it will last forever.

It measures 12.5" High X 8" Wide X 6" Deep.

It is aproximatly 5 pounds unpacked.

It is finished in Black and White
then rubbed with an antiquing overlay to bring out the detail.
The piece is then sealed with a clear coat to preserve the finish.
Each mask comes with hanging instructions and the screw.
Or it can be displayed on the optional stand.

signed and numbered by me Erick Erickson the artist.
