ROLEX VINTAGE DAYTONA 6264 PAUL NEWMAN CHRONOGRAPH

You know what? I really think that a vintage Rolex Daytona chronograph with Paul Newman dial is THE vintage watch in all of watchdom. The notion of "classic" can't be better represented than by this watch as ambassador. Sure, there are lots of vintage watches to be owned and worn, but a Paul Newman can't be topped, in my opinion. This one is a beauty, too and the reference 6264 is very rare.

Original stainless steel case measures 38mm in diameter by 14.2mm thick. Crystal is acrylic. Original pump style chronograph pushers and screw down crown operating perfectly. The original bezel insert shows some marks. The bezel is original and the edges are razor sharp. Case edges are sharp and crisp. The condition of the case is mint plus.

Original movement is the manual winding Caliber 727 with 17 jewels and adjusted to three positions. This caliber features column wheel construction, which is the superlative chronograph construction from both an aesthetic and functional perspective. The movement is immaculately clean and running great.

Original untouched dial is just beautiful and mint plus. Eggshell white in color, with contrasting black chronograph subdials, this Paul Newman (also known as "Exotic") dial is in perfect original condition. The hands are original as well, and also in mint plus condition.

Watch is on a Rolex Oyster bracelet reference 7835 with 13 folded links. Bracelet is also mint plus condition.
