ROLEX VINTAGE DAYTONA PAUL NEWMAN 6239 CHRONOGRAPH

Here is a 100% authentic and original Rolex Cosmograph Daytona chronograph reference 6239 with 100% original, untouched "Paul Newman" dial. This watch was serviced at least twice by Rolex and was acquired from the original owner. There is no more collectable vintage Rolex than an original Paul Newman Daytona.

Original case is stainless steel with dimensions of 37mm diameter by 13.2mm thick. Acrylic crystal. Original bezel features "Units Per Hour" scale which begins at '200' and ends at '50'. Original screw down crown works perfectly, as do the round pump style chronograph pushers.

Serial number 1600XXX dates production of this chronograph to 1966. Inside case back is stamped with the correct '6239'.

Original movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 722 with 17 jewels and adjusted to 3 positions and temperature. Movement is perfectly clean and running strong. Chronograph hands reset to zero with good action.

The dial is what it's all about, and this Paul Newman dial is 100% original and untouched, guaranteed. This is a "Panda" style, two color dial - white with contrasting black subdials and black periphery with minutes/seconds chapter.

Bracelet is Rolex riveted Oyster with 11 links.

This watch was serviced by Rolex at least twice. There is a Rolex USA service document dated March 27, 1978 with the watch's serial number. The owner also had the watch serviced by Rolex again during the mid 1990s, however there is no service paperwork for that service (although the service box is also included).
