 I know there are many sites that make claims for metaphysical uses for the gems like the ones I often use in my pieces, and I get my share of inquiries regarding this subject.  It is important that you know that such claims on these stones are an abomination to the Lord our God.  Revelation 9:20 says:  The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk.

One site on the worldwide web claims that the stone Amazonite has the healing ability to make your skin better, and release fear and anxiety. Tiger’s Eye is said to bring riches if you lay the stones on top of your “money box.”  However, common sense and a general idea of the marketplace might clue you in to the fact that it behooved a seller’s bottom line to promote such ideas of divination in order to make more money.  Deuteronomy 18:9-13 says,   "When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God.”

So, while the Lord’s beautiful stones are almost “spellbinding” in their beauty, we are to worship the Lord Jesus who made them, and not any imagined powers that the stones themselves supposedly have.   I mean, what a fairy tale!  I feel ridiculous even having to counter such claims.  But “New Age” mysticism is growing as people try to reach for something to believe in.  But JESUS is THE ROCK of our salvation. Best to ask the Lord Jesus to show you the truth: that He is the one true God. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the father but by me.”  Amen.
