The Leaves are opposite or whorled and cordate with velvety pubescense underneath and a long petiole. Up to 1 ‘ or more in length. This is an eye catching unique tree that bears Lavender clusters of flowers in the springtime. It bears fruit that are brown pods about 1” long and filled with tiny winged papery seeds that scatter everywhere when opend. The bark is Grey in color with shallow ridge and furrows. This is a great tree to have because it is very pretty and it grows fast up to 6 ft. per year. I think it is a cross between a Wisteria and a Lilac so you cannot go wrong as if it looks like them then you know they are truly pretty!! DO NOT PLANT SEEDS DEEP!
