| The Union Switch & Signal Company of Swissvale, Pennsylvania just outside of Pittsburgh, made these signals. They were unique to the Pennsylvania Railroad. A design feature of this signal is the use of yellow lenses for the display of all aspects. They elected to use yellow because the lights would show up better in low visibility conditions such as fog. The light has been cleaned and painted. The reflector inside being the bulb is cracked but intact, I can pack paper in it to keep it together. There was no gaskets between the glass lens inside, for now I used cardboard to protect it. it needs new rubber seals made. This is in real nice condition, the yellow lens has no cracks, nor does the glass reflector lens inside. For shipping, I think it would be best to remove them and pack in there own boxes. it weighs about 40 pounds. It ships in 2 boxes and is boxed up ready to go. Email me with questions. I found a date inside on the back of the reflector from the 40's, I think it was 1948, but not 100% sure the exact date. Shipping is with FEDEX, or you can pick it up if you wish.
