RUBEN AMARO JR.


When the Phillies played at Veterans Stadium they shared the place with the Philadelphia Eagles.  I used to do video work in the locker room for the Eagles in their off-season in 1996, 1997 & 1998.  This was during the regular season of the Phillies.  Many days I would spend testing equipment which would give free time to walk around the empty stadium.  As I became familiar with the people in charge they allowed me more access to the field area.  I could watch the Phillies practice when they were home.  I became friendly with some of the players as they sat around.  I was a Scout leader and Baseball coach at the time.  I asked a bunch of the players if they would be kind enough to autograph some cards for me to give away to the Scouts and ball players as a reward.  They said it was not a problem.  I thought  I had given them all away until I came across a box with old Scout stuff in it.  There were a bunch of cards still in the box.  Take advantage of an inexpensive way to get autographs of players that had played at one time with the Phillies.

If you purchase more than one I will combine the shipping costs.
