RUSSIAN IMPERIAL "Frost" Musical Egg & with ruby austrian crystal gemstones pair of Ruby Slippers Necklace. THIS IMPRESSIVE EGG, has a remarkable incised opaque white frosty snow stylized design, raised upon a translucent frost backrounds, then interspersed with a jewel cut Austrian crystal gemstones. This is an extremely exacting technique and seldom duplicated. Egg has 22k gold finished beaded metal mounts, cabriole legs for the bronze base also 22k Gold finished. Central Tiger Eye cabouchon clasp. Borders of egg are set with pave style jewel cut Austrian gemstones. MEASURES APPROX 6" IN HEIGHT. Inside opens to Quality keywoulnd musical movement plays " Somewhere over the Rainbow".

Comes with its own fitted hinged PRESENTATION CASE. (design adapted from an original by Faberge commisioned by Emanuel Nobel in his famous "Frost" design). **** Two of Saint Petersbourgs finest Russian Imperial Art Museums have been awarded the commission rights to restore and to produce certain Faberge masterpieces. These museums are working along with regional ateliers, where some of the 19th century designs were first made. Condition is new, and is an authentically reproduced masterpiece of an original Carl Faberge design . Usually sold exclusively in St. Petersburg and Moscow Cathedral, Museum, and Palace gift shops, in Russia. ****
