This was not meant to be a painting of Eight Belles...but boy it sure reminds me of her!  The dark grey horse in this painting even has the same number 5 that Eight Belles wore on her blanket at the Kentucky Derby. Due to this uncanny resemblance....a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this original oil painting and matching ACEO print will be donated to New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program in honor of her memory.

This is an original oil on canvas entitled "To The Finish". Signed by the artist.  Size is 5 inches by 7 inches.

As with any oil painting....this piece will require special care to ensure its longevity. This work has been painted on heavyweight canvas...it is unframed and unstretched....it will require proper mounting and framing without glass for display. Because this painting has only recently been completed, it is still unvarnished.  If you are concerned about airborne contaminents harming the finish of your painting....a varnish coating can be added...please contact me for details.

Included in this listing is an ACEO Limited Edition Fine Art Reproduction of "To The Finish".  (ACEO stands for Artist Cards Editions and Originals. They are highly collectible and easy to keep in small frames or collector card albums.) This ACEO is printed on matte paper. It is number 1/10 and has been signed by the artist on reverse. Size is ACEO (2.5 inches by 3.5 inches).
