Description
I am proud to present a stunning example of art in pottery. Raku Art and Art Zoo are very unique collections of figurines and home décor ceramic pieces. Beautifully crafted, these pieces will certainly complement your collection. These are high quality pieces, and surprisingly heavy. This is the pig (large size). He is 9 inches long, 4.5 inches high, 3 inches wide and weighs 1.4 pounds or 20 ounces.
Note: The piece on the photographs is representative of the one for auction/sale. Due to the fact that this pottery is hand painted and so many different colors are utilized, the number of color combinations is almost endless, which makes it very difficult to have a set of images for each one. Please let me know if you would like specifics.
Mbare Certificate of Authenticity :
Mbare certifies that each piece of Raku Art and Art Zoo is hand crafted in Africa and all designs are the originals of our artists. Every piece is individually shaped out of clay and fired in a kiln for 12 hours. Hand painted and utilizing an ancient technique called Raku Firing, they are placed in a gas kiln and heated to 950 degrees centigrade. When the clay reaches this temperature, it is removed from the gas kiln and placed in a bed of Sawdust. The sawdust smolders on contact with the clay causing a unique crackling pattern on the glaze. The result is a beautiful collectible piece of Raku Art or Art Zoo.
I have come across other African Raku pieces and I can vouch for 2 facts: 1) Not all Raku is created equal 2) As with most things in life, you get what you pay for.
Raku Art and Art Zoo have an entire collection of land and sea animals, from butterflies to whales. Many figurines are made in different sizes to suit most budgets. Collectors and decorators worldwide recognize Raku Art and Art Zoo as pieces of art with deep history and meaning. Please email me with any questions. My Sales Policy
I do my best to accurately describe items. With the exception of the exquisite Raku Art and Art Zoo South African pottery and the gorgeous Bulgarian handcrafted Lalo Orna jewelry, accessories and home décor, most of my other merchandise has been gently worn so it will probably show the normal wear and tear appropriate for its age. Please take this into consideration. This is also why, unless I note otherwise, merchandise is sold as is.

Ask questions, I want you to feel comfortable about the item before you bid or buy. Remember, your bid or purchase is a legally binding contract.

As a seller, I make sure I provide a good product at a fair price, friendly service and quick shipping. I also make sure you receive positive feedback for timely payment. Likewise, I hope you will do the same for me. However, if there is a problem, please give me the opportunity to address your concerns, before you leave any!
Returns & Refunds
I will never knowingly disappoint you. A return will be accepted if due to a gross omission or discrepancy in the listing. Please let me know if there is a problem with the item within 3 days of receiving it. If need be I will gladly refund your purchase price. The item must also be in the same condition it was received within 7 days of having reached an agreement.
Something Extra
I offer gift wrapping for most items and will ship to a different address once you confirm your request. To include a card with your gift, simply email me with your message. Only an additional $2.

Payment
Paypal is now the only form of payment accepted by Ebay. As usual, payment is due within 7 days of purchase or auction's end.

Shipping
Your item will be shipped as soon as payment is received and you will get a tracking number. I ship every work day via US Postal Service. I also combine shipping in case you see more than one item you must have....
Consider there will be shipping charges, but there are no inflated handling fees. Packaging & Handling is $2.00 per order. This means that if you combine shipping for 2 or more items, there would still be only one $2 handling fee. This charge is already included in the total given by the shipping calculator.
For international customers, I do my best to ship items economically and mark the customs slip "used goods" when applicable so you won't pay unnecessary customs charges.

Insurance
Insurance will no longer show at checkout. If you want the extra protection I can add it to the invoice. Just let me know!
Insurance for international shipments:
The US Postal Service does not offer insurance for First Class Mail International shipping. Once again, if you would like to insure your shipment the USPS offers Priority Mail International. There is a price difference but it will include insurance.
