This 23" necklace is a rich bouquet of flower-petal hues: pansy purple, rose pink, and the elusive pastels of orchids, And some kind of big stripy blue thing. (I don't think tiger-lilies come in blue. I can't even remember if they have stripes. But then, considering my Black Thumb of Gardening Death, it's probably just as well for the plants if I don't get anywhere near them for research.) The pinkness is most manifest as tiny fire-polished faceted rounds of two-tone rose, but also subliminally scattered throughout as a potpourri mix of seed spacers. Each one of those is flanked by two dark purple druks (smooth rounds), leading up to flat ovals of neodymium-based orchid glass whose shade of lavender/lilac subtly fluctuates depending on whether its lighting source is incandescent, fluorescent, or just plain outdoor solar. The large focal druks are mostly a lovely, vivid sapphire-blue whose transparency is interrupted by the aforementioned opaque black stripes. All of the beads are imported Czech glass. I've hand-strung them onto 20lb-test gel-spun polymer, a high-tech fiber that's stronger than steel but drapes like silk without ever rusting or rotting. The endcaps and trigger/split-ring clasp are sterling silver. Please check my other listings to see more pretties, and thanks for looking! :) |
