Rare 1930 25”MARGOT Felt Child Doll w/Box (Turin/Italy)


Description:
Extremely rare large size vintage "Margot" Lenci-type child doll in original box. Very probably intended to resemble a Lenci #109 series doll but in a remarkably bigger size.

This rare adorable pouty girl is all made of felt with side-glancing highlighted brown eyes, delicately painted upper and lower eyelashes, very thin brown eyebrows and red closed mouth with lower-lip highlights. She has a blonde curly mohair wig, hard hollow torso with integrated swivel head, hard-stuffed limbs disc-jointed at shoulders and hips, stitched fingers and separate thumbs. "Made in Italy" stamped on her left thigh.

This beauty comes dressed in her complete factory original clothing with a pink organdy ruffled dress with matching bonnet both decorated with embroidered flowers, white cotton combination slip undies, white crocheted socks and red felt center- button shoes.

Made in Turin / Italy by "Bambole Artistiche MARGOT", circa 1930s.

Dimensions:
25 inches (63.5 cm) height.

Condition:

She is all absolutely original and vintage with complete outfit. Felt is very slightly soiled on face, arms and back of legs. The only moth holes I found are on back of shoes. Top of box has been taped. Otherwise, almost unplayed with in excellent to near mint overall condition.
