Large 6 quart , 12" creamware mixing bowl. The bowl is in excellent condition with No chips or cracks.The bottom of the bowl says: Dishwasher, oven proof,microwave. Roseville, Ohio and has a logo of hands shaking. I have owned this bowl since 1995 and have made many batches of bread in it...it's well loved but the kitchen in our new house isn't big enough for it. It is very large and very heavy. It measures 12 inches across and 6 1/2 inches high.
My understanding is that this is a very rare, highly collectible piece..who knew? My bread bowl?
At the time these were made Henn was called Country home collection. Apparently these bowls were made in Roseville, Ohio by Friendship pottery. My bread bowl is one that was made before A fire destroyed the entire facility. After that Country home collection became Henn workshops.
