Rare massive vintage Longines stainless steel chronograph wristwatch in excellent, original condition. Phenomenal watch with hugh 42mm case. The case is in excellent original condition, maintaining its original radiating brushed finish on the top of the case with high polish sides. Case back is very good with some minor scratches. There is plenty of evidence that the watch has been used, but it certainly hasn't been abused. One could touch up any scratches if desired, or enjoy in its preserved original state. The original black dial is as close to mint as anyone could ever hope for. Wonderful silver registers against the black and accented with red make this dial absolutely stunning! Original signed crown at 10:00 rotates the inner chapter ring for different time calculations. The chronograph works perfectly. All pushers operate properly and the registers reset as they should. Original signed winding crown and original pushers. The high grade Valjoux 72 is the heartbeat of the Longines 330 caliber movement (not to mention dozens of other iconic vintage Swiss chronographs). Appearing to be very clean, all original, and running strong as well as keeping excellent time, this watch is more than just a pretty face. Fitted on a high quality DeBeers 20mm red leather band, this watch is ready to wear and enjoy. Rare, complicated, and all original, what a great piece to add to any collection!
