A rare and interesting old Advertising Corkscrew- the first I've seen for ‘Peter Mackenzie’s Scotch Whisky. The advertising is Pyrography- that is scorched into the handle with a heated metal die. The wooden pull handle is unusual squat, short sided and plump. And has a very old and stable split along the grain in the dry wood, Mercifully this is along the ‘bottom’ edge and generally doesn’t detract at all from an otherwise pristine piece. Worm etc all excellent as shown, and clearly an older probably late Victorian Corkscrew.
