Rare Antique 14" American Humped Teddy Bear 


Description:
Rare antique German or American dressed Teddy Bear. 

This unique and very charming Teddy Bear is all made of cinnamon & pale golden long pile mohair with big round two-tone ears, brown and black glass eyes, red wool horizontally stitched nose and mouth. Straw stuffed white cotton "undergarments-like" body, wooden-disk jointed at head shoulders and hips with a hump to back, bent-down arms and big reinforced feet with light brown cloth pads and three red wool stitched claws on paws.

He is dressed in his factory original pale green cotton construction worker overalls and blue and white stripped shirt.

Unmarked, but very probably made in USA, ca. 1915-1920s.

Dimensions:
14 inches (36 cm) tall.

Condition:
This teddy bear has been well loved and played with. The plush is partially gone here and there. Otherwise, fine to very fine overall condition.

Note: This charming and desirable Teddy Bear  is free of odors and comes from a non-smoking and pet-free home. Will be a nice addition to any Teddy Bear collection !!!
