Overview.......This is an Atlas and has many, many neat engravings and information of the History of the world during this time period...Illustrated with many maps of all the states, countries and Territories during this time period..All the Maps are in black and white...

Some of the maps of states have smaller inset maps in the corners of the larger cities...For example...For the Map of the State of Maine, a smaller inset map of the City Of Portland is in the corner...

Has the Complete Census of American Cities and Towns with over 5,000 inhabitants, according to the Census of 1890...

Includes maps of Ancient Jerusalem and Palestine as well as Africa, The Philippines, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Russia, the German Empire, France, Ireland and so much more...Again, many engravings to go along with all the very neat and interesting data during this time period...

In response to an Ebayer question.... There is a map on page 10 of North America which includes the only actual depiction of the West Indies in this book...also showing the Bermuda Islands ( we have a close-up photo as one of the 9 extra photos available )....there aren't any more maps of the Bermuda Islands....only descriptive paragraphs in text of the Bermudas and West Indies on pages 3,9 and 11.....

The only color page is in the very front of the book and this is the page of Flags of Various Nations...This has 3 flags for the United States, The Stars and Stripes, The Union Jack and The Revenue Flag...These are along with various other Flags of other Countries during this time period...A very, very interesting and neat book...

Condition.....This book is very old...Cover has become completely detached from the book...Cover is very worn has soiling,creasing,tears and tatters, but is still in one piece...

The pages have browned and are very dry and pages should be turned with care...A few pages are torn and tattered with some creasing and light soiling with minor pieces missing at corners...Corners of pages are thumbed and curled, some better than others...There are several wormholes at edges of pages...These do not interfere with the reading or viewing of the pages...All of the pages are very readable and in the most part in very good condition...NOTE...There are supposed to be 140 pages, but there is only 138...The last 2 pages are missing at the rear of the book...

Pages-Dimensions-Shipping Weight..........The shipping weight is 2 pounds 8 ounces...Measures 10 7/8"inches by 13 1/2"inches...Has 138 pages, but there is supposed to be 140 pages...
