I recently purchased the contents of a rural Nebraska estate.  The person had quite an interest in glass and this

beautiful piece was included.  It measures about 9 1/2" high by 5 1/2 inches wide and is made of a stunning deep

cobalt blue glass.  The design appears to be Victorian gilt and enamel, probably from the 1880s or a little earlier.

There are no cracks or chips.   The bottom has been ground to sit flat.  There is an old price tag stuck on it for

$100.00.   I have had many water carafe's but they are mostly clear crystal and cut glass.  This is truly unusual.

A striking addition to your sideboard or a gift for a friend.    Will pack extremely carefully.    Happy bidding.
