It is a rare antique cylinder music box. The box plays a 13" cylinder. The machine has broken teeth on the comb. The elegant wood case is 23" long, 9" deep, and 6" tall. It has fancy inlaid flowers on the top. It weighs 27 pounds. It plays. It dates from the late 1800's-early 1900's.
The case has a beautiful veneer wood top.The wood finish on the sides is worn. The top has some chipped veneer and has other imperfections(study pictures). The machine has an inside ratchet crank. It plays and sounds pretty good even with the chipped teeth. It sounds like it plays a little slower than it should. It will probably need other restoration.
A quality elegant music box. It plays a large cylinder.
A chance to buy a fine old music box. This type rarely comes up for sale.
We have 2 other antique music boxes listed at this time.
