Up for your consideration is a rare first edition hardcover book entitled "Strange Secrets" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, New York:  R. F. Fenno & Company, copyright 1895, 287 pages.  This book of 14 ghost stories is in great condition, in my opinion (considering the age), with the pictorial purplish-blue cloth cover being clean and in great shape, as well as the back cover (the back side of the front cover has a small sticker from a drugstore); the title and author's name in white lettering on the front cover is clear and vibrant; the spine is in great condition, with just a little fading to the white lettering; the binding is good and the pages are intact (the title page has about 1 inch loose from the binding); the pages are free of writing, and I didn't find any tears (except there is about a 1-inch corner missing on one page, which doesn't affect readability, and there are a few pages with just the tip of the corner missing), and the edges of the pages are lightly tanned.
