Up for auction is my circa 1919 Brunswick "Madison" pool table. It is called an over sized 4x8 table. The overall dimensions of the table are 551/2"x105". This table was built from 1916 to 1924. The table comes complete with A.E. Schmidt wall cue rack, many cues, two original bridges, a box of new tournament chalk, other chalk, cue balls, and original 8 ball rack and a 9 ball rack. It is constructed of 3 pieces of Vermont slate. It is mahogany veneer. A complete description of the table can be found on the Brunswick web site under antique tables or just google Brunswick Madison. I've owned the pool table of 30 years and purchased it from the son of the original owner. This table came out of an old time pool hall in Missouri. The only reason for selling is you can tell for the pictures is of a remodeling project, plus I don't play anymore. The pool table light which is stained glass is not included in the auction, however, a deal could be struck! The table has been professionally disassembled by Fred Schmidt of the AE Schmidt family. Shipping could be arranged at an additional cost or pickup available. It is a cost savings since the table is already apart! The table has about a 3" piece of veneer missing on the bottom right side that can be seen in the first picture. As you can see by one of the pictures it has an AE Scmidt brass label on the end rail. This was the custom back then, that when the rails were taken off to be rebuilt, even though is is a Brunswick table, Schmidt would replace the Brunswick label with their own to remind the customer who did the rails, a sort of advertising! AE Schmidt is the second oldest billiard table manufacturer in the United States. I will be glad to try to answer any questions you might have. You can call me at 573-443-7101
