A rare group of four Chinese Warring States period composite glass beads dating from about 475 to 221 BC, more or less with applied spot-eye & line style decorative elements. The composite construction typically consists of a ceramic or faience like core with a thin layer of glass over the core, often with symmetrical decoration of great detail and craftsmanship. This particular group is in fair to good condition, showing great age and wear, about 14 x 9 mm for the largest bead. Genuine Warring States beads were only made during this short period of time and are rare in any condition and highly collectible.
