An exceptionally fine Scent Bottle made by O. Gallia (Christofle)

Classic, understated Art Deco

A period piece from the 1930's

Very rare - I haven't been able to find another example sold elsewhere

The heavy, crystal glass (bottle and ground glass stopper) is probably Baccarat (as most of Gallia's objects with glass used Baccarat) while the silver-plated metal accents are Gallia and both signed and numbered (6017) on the base

Measures 19 cm (7½ inches) high and weighs 675 gm

Condition is near-mint. The glass is perfect, the metal is completely intact with no loss of silver-plating and only the tiniest of blemishes on the cap, too small to photograph

Shipping

Shipping will be within 2 days of receiving payment. Standard, economy post (SwissPost) will be used - this normally takes 2-3 weeks from Switzerland to the USA but please note that it can sometimes take longer if the package is held up at Customs. Within Europe, the time is usually 3-4 days. If you are located elsewhere, please contact me for a shipping time estimate. In all cases, the shipping time can be significantly speeded up if Priority post is used but this is more expensive . Please contact me prior to making payment if this service is required. Please note that any Customs Duty payable will be for the account of the Buyer. For buyers within the European Union, there will not normally be any such duty payable but, if it is charged, then I will fully reimburse the Buyer. Sometimes, I will decide to post from Germany instead of Switzerland to ensure that no duty is payable by EU buyers. I always post items using Registered Post - this provides both Insurance Cover and Proof of Delivery, an essential protection for both buyer and seller. This is automatically included in the shipping charge and explains what might otherwise seem to be a high cost. Please don't bid if you consider it to be too high. If you purchase more than 1 item, shipping charges will be combined.

Terms of Sale

All sales are final. However, if you feel on receiving the item that my description is not accurate then I will offer a full refund less postage costs on receipt of the item in the same condition as when originally shipped by me. Please bear in mind that antiques by their nature will have imperfections - they are not "factory fresh"! In detailing the current condition of the item in the listing, it is the combination of the written description and the photos which is being represented.
