| This is a piece of the NWA 2650 meteorite. I purchased this meteorite from Moroccan meteorite dealers in 2004. It was a single large stone weighing 2,224 grams. We thought it might be a lunar meteorite but it was classified as a Eucrite instead. NWA 2650 is classified as an achondrite, Cumulate Eucrite, (EUC). We have sold off most of the meteorite in the last few years, and this is one of my last pieces. It is a beautiful example of a basaltic Eucrite, with shock veins and crystals everywhere. The Eucrites are thought by most scientists to originate on the asteroid Vesta. This is a slice weighing 51.52 grams. It measures 85 mm x 70 mm x 4 mm This is a very rare meteorite. The cube in the photo measures 1 cm. I am a meteorite dealeand fully gaurantee the authenticity of every meteorite and tektite specimen I sell. Be sure to see me in the March 1999 issue of the Smithsonian Magazine, I am featured in an article about meteorite hunters! I am also featured in Fortune Small Business magazine. Fortune Small Business Magazine Buyer pays $8.00 shipping in the USA and $20.00 to any other country. I combine shipping for multiple items. |
