Appearing to have seldom been used or carried, this amazing art deco pocket watch is worthy of the finest collections. Heavy, solid 14K green gold case with fancy chased bezel, case back, and bow. The bow is tight and doesn't appear to ever have had a chain on it. Gorgeous hand engraved monogram on the case back, matching the name of the recipient on the dust cover inside when the watch was awarded to him in 1922. The engraving appears to be an award of esteem to a freight executive in Chicago. What an amazing time in American history to have been involved in commercial freight! The dial is completely original showning a pleasing patina. Original blue steel Breguet hands and perfect glass crystal. The high grade 19 jewel Riverside "A" movement is in excellent running condition and keeps excellent time. This is a wonderful watch in seldom seen condition. And with the price of gold today, the 27 gram (nearly one troy ounce) case could prove to be a good investment as well. Measures 46mm Just gorgeous !
