Extremely rare and possibly unique is this antique Ed Koehn minute repeating pocket watch / desk clock in all original condition. Circa 1890s. Koehn was associated with Patek Philippe prior to opening his own watch firm in 1891. Very rare gun metal cushion shaped case is excellent, showing extremely minor signs of wear with gold trimmed bezel and rose gold repeater plunger. Unusual original bow. Flawless porcelain dial with original blue steel hands. Push the button on the crown and the case back springs open slightly to allow the watch to transform into a desk or bedside clock. The movement is always protected by its dust cover. The movement is gorgeous and extremely high-grade. Just serviced by our master watchmaker, this amazing watch is keeping accurate time and chiming through all its functions properly. Fully signed and hallmarked, this is one of the more unusual antique repeaters you are likely to see. A wonderful departure from the usual round cases that are far more common. The gun metal case is a great alternative to gold some would argue. Less precious, but far more interesting. This treasure of a repeater feels great in the hand, is comfortable to carry, and looks great on display. Measures 50mm.
