Benjamin Franklin received a patent for several style of clocks in the early 1880s and Francis E Morse was an assignee. The clocks were produced by the Welch Manufacturing Company. There are very few of these clocks around. This particular clock was created by Francis E Morse. I am not an expert on antique clocks but as far as I can tell everything on the clock is completely original, including the hands, face, and glass door. This antique calendar clock does not appear to have been refinished either. There is a little bit of rubbing where the door opens. Other than that the clock is in great condition. The clock is about 22 inches tall and 16 inches across. It is an 8 day strike clock.
