Rare French Maison Jansen Brass Daybed Sofa Settee

I am attributing this piece to the prestigious and exclusive manufacturer Maison Jansen because a very similar if not identical labeled piece was recent sold at auction for 3650.00 last year. I cannot find a label but this piece is almost certainly Maison Jansen because of the quality of detail and the materials used which are exotic and expensive. This 1950-60s era daybed is made of genuine brass and fitted with solid brass rails. I have never seen one like it other than the one I mentioned before. It came from a gorgeous estate in Bryn Mawr, PA and in that estate were other items of French origin that were Jansen or of similar high quality. This French Empire style daybed comes with the cushion, box spring and back pillows and will need reupholstery as the upholstery is stained and not in good condition. But I believe that your imagination will be better than whoever did the previous upholstery- that’s almost a certainty. This daybed also has 2 cast brass “pineapple” finials that are not shown, and is missing 2 others. We can have the finials copied by a well-known company that does that and we will cover the cost and they will be indistinguishable from the originals. This process does take some time, so we would send the new ones to you once they are completed, but you would already have the daybed in your home. The daybed measures 79L X 33w X 35T and does come apart for delivery.
