Being offered is a true miniature book.  I see ads for "miniature" books & they list them as 5", 6" & even more.  A true miniature in 4" or less in the largest dimension.  The purists believe they should be less than 3" in the largest dimension.  This book will satisfy even the purists.  It is  1 3/4" x  2 1/16".(See picture)  The History of the Bible was published by Wm. Bolles & Co., New London Connecticut, 1850.  It still has the original leather covers, with Gold Stamped spine, & is 192 pages long, complete.(See picture)  It contains 20 illustrations, complete.(See pictures)   One of bears tearing up children(See picture) is rather interesting.  A nude Noah is also a little different.  Please note that those are not stains, but shadows on the pictures.  Do you know how hard it is to take pictures of plates which are not much bigger than an inch?   Many of the plates are of biblical figures.(See pictures)   I have been collecting books for almost 50 years, & this has always been one of my favorite miniatures.  Condition is excellent, especially since it is over 155 years old, & was used by children.   Title pg. & following 10 pgs. have some staining, otherwise clean tight copy.  If you collect miniature books, & you are a purist, you will want this one for your collection.  Leather binding, gold stamped spine,early date, & 20 illustrations makes this an extreme rarity.

POERIFFIC SHIPPING TERMS:  I will only ship to the continental United States.  I will normally ship USPS Priority Mail.  However, if I am selling paper items, books, etc., they will be shipped via Media Mail.  I use USPS "Delivery Confirmations" on all purchases.  Insurance will be optional at an additional charge.  If item sells for $50.00 or less, insurance would be $1.65.  Anything above $51.00, I will have to notify you.
