Here is a very cool vintage letter from the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, dated May 18, 1948 regarding a customer's Model 70 rifle. Reads "The model 70, serial #58486, returned to us was shipped on May 13, by Express prepaid, without charge to you.

We are genuinely sorry you were not satisfied with this gun. It will, we believe, now meet with your full approval". Letter in excellent condition, with folds consistant with being mailed, The envelope in poor shape. Paypal per ebay.
