Rare Wilesco D457 BrassVertical Boiler Stationary Model Toy Steam Engine. The brass series of models was discontinued by the manufacturer several years ago making this a very collectible model from the range. This unit is a consignment from a private collector and sold as-is. It has not been fired but is missing a couple of minor parts including the chimney, burner tray, grooved pulley and exhaust tray. All these can still be purchased through an authorized dealer in North American . There are several tarnish or very small marks/blemishes on boiler and base plate (largest spot is just below the whistle on the side of boiler - see pictures). This model still has the metal whistle and control valves (manufacturer switched to plastic several years ago).

Powerful double-acting reversible piston/cylinder with oil lubrication cup. Steam regulating valve located in the steam line controls the amount of steam to the cylinder assembly. Exhaust steam is vented to a tray under the cylinder. Boiler constructed of brass with finish and includes safety valve, water level gauge, and working steam whistle. A grooved pulley on the flywheel shaft allows this model to operate other Wilesco accessories. Mounted on metal plated base measuring 8"L x 5 1/2"W x 13"H (to top of chimney).
