Highly arched instrument, with accurately worked inlay purfling and finely carved scroll, which have been masterly grafted to the neck. This beautiful crafted violin shows no open cracks (there're repairs in the lower rib and a hairline on the upper right front), and only minor marks in it´s beautiful old transparent amber varnish. The table is finely grained spruce and the back is - as well as the neck and ribs - nicely flamed maple. The ebony pegs are fitting well, the ebony fingerboard is plain and the ebony tail piece is mounted with a fine tuner/adjuster.

Beautiful instrument in good state of preservation! Ready to play with a clear volume and warm tone. The violin responds well and even-balanced on all strings with a wide sound range. Please see all detailed photos below.  Measures: total 59,5 cm / 23.42”, body 36 cm / 14.17”, vibrating chord length 32,3 cm / 12.71”. For further questions please feel free to ask, or/and - as we sell a lot of different violins - we would recommend to do a bit of internet research (Google / Wikipedia etc.) about makers, models and prices.

Please be aware, that mostly all violins we offer are old and in used condition - it might differ from instrument to instrument, but each violin will probably need personal settings, such as new strings etc. to suit your individual needs ...
