![]() You are bidding on... °Title: Fahrenheit 451 °Publisher: Ballantine Books °Edition: 1960, Early paperback reprint (#382 K) °Description: A good plus condition paperback. Very little in the was of reading creases. Has edge wear and a few creases. Interior of the book is nice and clean. Pages are darkened with age but not fragile. The book has a slight lean but the binding is tight. A very nice looking copy of this 50 year old paperback. Book states "This is an original publication - not a reprint", but was printed in 1960 by Ballantine, the original publisher. 147 numbered pages with 3 pages of ads in the back. Cover price is 35¢. Signed by Mr Bradbury?? On the inside of the front cover there is a newspaper article about a trip to the UK that Bradbury took to work on a screen adaptation of his story And the Rock Cried Out. The article is hand dated 11-17-57. The interesting thing about this is that it is also signed Ray Bradbury at the top margin. I don't have any examples of early Bradbury signatures on hand at this time, but it does look like the author's signature. If you are an expert on his signature or have examples of his signature circa 1960, I'd like to hear what you think. The author of the article is Robert R Kirsch. Mr. Kirsch was a book reviewer and literary critic for the Los Angeles Times from the 1950's through at least the 1970's. On the front cover there is a name written in red ink. The name is Bernice Hubbard. There was a Bernice Hubbard May (b.1897; d.1970) that lived in California that was was one of the female political leader's of the SF Bay area. Please note! I did not buy this as a signed copy and I'm not trying to sell it as a signed copy but it does look correct. You are guaranteed to be happy with your purchase! For US bidders, if you are not happy with your book for any reason, we will refund the price of the book(s), shipping and return shipping. For international bidders, the refund is limited to the price of the book(s). Additional photos available. Happy Bidding!! Visit my store! Click here... MARS BOOKS & WOOD
