I purchased this gorgeous bag from a retailer frequented by celebrities and Purse Forum members, It’s Rebecca Minkoff’s “Nikki", which is the most popular Minkoff style since the “Morning After Bag”. It comes in two sizes - regular and a "mini" version. This is the mini version. The exterior is soft, textured, Italian luxe leather in a beautiful dark blue with a deep luster, satin finish. The official color name is “lapis”. Most of the hardware is logo engraved and is shiny gold. The top secures with a magnetic snap. It’s lined with an updated version of the black and white floral canvas. Inside there's a zippered pocket atop which is a slip pocket, two leather top edged function pockets and enough space for all the essentials; long wallet, checkbook, cosmetics bag, PDA, MP3 player, brush and gum/mints – don’t let the “mini” in the style name fool you. This is actually a medium sized hobo design. With permission, I've included a professional photo taken by the retailer because it very accurately depicts the "in real life" color. The ones I took myself in my fluorescent lit kitchen with a broad spectrum light "reflects" and makes the bag look brighter/lighter than it really is. The first picture is very accurate. I've also included two photos of my husband modeling the bag to help you envision size. Ron is 5’ 6” tall and weighs 135.  

This is one of those wonderful, slouchy, everyday bags you can't help but love. The deep blue (like navy) color of this bag will coordinate with lots of outfits and is year round appropriate. The bag is new, unused with no flaws like scratches, scuffs, tears, rips, stains or smells (smoke free household). There’s no reserve and insured UPS ground shipping within the USA is free. An additional incentive to bid/buy is that the starting bid won't cover my costs; this transaction could be a loss for me. Plus it's the only one I have and since I'll be retiring from ebay selling once my existing inventory is listed/sold, I won't be getting another. Once it's gone, it's gone. About the Designer/Brand: 

NYC based Rebecca Minkoff learned to sew at age 8 and began designing clothing 10 years later. Although she launched her clothing in 2001, it wasn't until her good friend, actress Jenna Elfman asked her to design a handbag for her next movie that the 'Morning After' bag was born. Her clothing line had the details that one would expect in a well made garment and were cut to move over the body with ease. These principles were carried over into handbag collection; buttery Italian leather, versatile color and comfortable style balance sexy and chic with a little cool, devil-may-care attitude thrown in. In addition to Jenna, Rebecca’s sexpot meets downtown hip bags have been spotted on the arms of numerous celebrities whose names I cannot specifically mentioned here or ebay will pull this listing - sorry but it's part of the "new regimen" - sellers can no longer tell you who is carrying what. Although only in her 20's, Rebecca has made her mark in the fashion industry as a notable designer, introduced clothing items into her line last year and just got married about a month ago.

Regardless of whether you’re interested in this listing or that of another seller, I strongly suggest you copy/paste the auction link to the authentication thread of the Rebecca Minkoff group on the Purse Forum (www.purseforum.com). Although not professional authenticators, members there have special expertise in recognizing genuine bags. It’s what I do when I’m not sure myself from looking at the listing photos or the seller doesn’t respond to or answer questions to my satisfaction. My TPF co-members have never steered me wrong. Although I know Minkoff bags well and personally purchased this one from a retailer with whom I have lots of experience so am positive it’s genuine, if upon receipt and inspecting it yourself you have any doubts, please contact me immediately to request return. However, prior to doing that if you have a retailer in your area who regular sells Minkoff Bags, I would recommend first taking it there and asking that they confirm authenticity. The payment method accepted for this auction is PayPal, where anyone can use e-check, direct bank debit or the credit card of your choice. (It is not necessary to have an existing PayPal account or create one to use their service to make a payment using a credit card account you already have).  

Shipping Information:

Shipping via insured UPS ground within the USA is free. To ensure there is a mechanism to cover potential damage or loss during shipment and document that the package was delivered to the intended recipient at the address specified on the PayPal payment notification, all packages shipped within the USA will be insured and require a signature for delivery. For those of you who work full time (like me), requiring a signature can be inconvenient. However, since the package will be shipped to the address specified on the PayPal payment notification, you can change the address in PayPal for that specific payment to your work or other location of your choice, such as a UPS store in your area. I wrap packages very securely and have not yet experienced damage or loss. But, there is always a first time for everything so the insurance protects us both. I'm sorry that I cannot afford to offer USPS as a free shipping alternative. If you choose USPS, please understand that the estimated cost includes not only the postage based upon the weight of the bag inside the shipping box w/packaging materials to keep it safe/undamaged during transit but also insurance coverage based upon the replacement value of the bag and the fee for signature required delivery.

I will do my best to securely wrap your package but if on the rare chance your bag does get damaged, please contact me immediately and keep the box and all packaging as the carrier will need to see it for the insurance claim. If you use a knife or other sharp object to open the box, be careful not to let it slip inside where it could penetrate the dust cover and cut the bag. Shipping insurance will not cover that type of damage.

International buyers, I'm sorry but I cannot afford to absorb your shipping cost, but I will do all you need me to do to "facilitate" customs clearance. Depending on value declaration, up to $100 of shipping insurance is included (the max amount the USA will cover and allow me to purchase).
