Cyrah Cyrah (pronounced SEER-ah) started out as a brand new Luca doll created by Elly Knoops. Thank you Elly for providing such an amazing doll to reborn. Date Reborn: 04/23 /2008 Weight: 6 lbs, 10 oz. Length: 21 inches   I love to reborn the Luca doll. I wanted to reborn this doll as a Bi-racial doll and I think she turned out beautifully. I am still amazed, even after 168 dolls, at how absolutely beautiful and REAL she looks.  My heart melts every time I look at her. To truly understand how lovely and real she is, one must hold her in their arms and look at her! She was a joy and a privilege to bring to life and I hope you enjoy viewing her as much as I did creating her. Since this doll comes as a kit, the first process was to give little Cyrah her first warm sudsy bath to remove any residue from her skin. I used Genesis paints to create a very realistic newborn skin tone. I use a process known as honeycombing which is very time consuming but adds such realism that it is worth the time.  I add many, many layers of paint to create a very realistic skin tone. Every detail from veining to the creases is completed to achieve the most realistic look possible. I finish the skin with a matte finish to add texture and realism. I'm ready to go out and play mommy! I take great care in creating beautiful textured skin for each baby. I have a hard time believing she is not real. I added full length Berenguer limbs to Cyrah. I love the full limbs because you can wear such a larger variety of clothes on Cyra. Excellent hair rooting is also a key to great reborning. I used a 40 gauge needle and micro rooted one to two hairs of premium black slightly wavy angora mohair at a time. I take a lot of time and care to make sure the hair is rooted in a natural pattern and the hair has a life-like appearance. Her hair has been securely glued inside of her head, so Cyrah's hair can be gently washed & styled.  You can have a lot fun creating your own hairstyles for her. Birth announcement Cyrah is such a darling little girl!! Once again, I took Cyrah out in public with me, (I love doing this to unsuspecting people). Not one of the many people I  encountered at the department store  believed she was a doll. It really freaked some of them out. I enjoy taking the babies out and educating the public about reborning. Cyrah has the most realistic skin tone and texture. I find myself  just staring at her! Cyrah's nose has been gently opened and backed with felt to make her a breather. Cyrah has a magnetic pacifier. Because the magnets are extremely powerful, they must be kept away from computers, electronic equipment, magnetic media and pacemakers. If the magnets are a problem I would be more than happy to remove them. Your Baby will be securely packaged; I take great care in  making sure my babies are safe and secure for their trip to your home. Your baby will normally be delivered by Stork Mail, (USPS Priority Mail) You may also request Express Mail as an option. International shipping is via USPS Priority Mail  or Express Mail International. The Express Mail  is typically not that much more and is 3-5 days instead of 4-6 days. This doll does not contain any sand or other organic filler that would create a problem with customs. To be more eco friendly, I now use only 100% recyclable   packaging peanuts. Please feel free to reuse them. If you do not need them, you can simply melt them in your sink with  warm water; they are made of corn starch and are completely non-toxic! I really need a big hug.........!   I take great care in picking out just the right outfits for each baby. Since all four of my children are grown, I have so much fun picking out baby clothes for my reborns. Cyrah wears newborn or 0 to 3 month  size clothing.
