Before you Buy from any Seller, consider these facts:
We know there are now other
sellers on eBay who are selling products similar to ours. You have a choice
in the products you install in your home AND you have a
choice in WHO you purchase those products from.
1. WG Wood Products is the ORIGINAL!
Imitation is the best form of flattery as they say. We have been in business
since 2002 and we make more styles and types of in-the-wall and on-the-wall
home decor products than anyone else. Where others offer you one style, one
color, we offer you many styles, many options AND many colors to choose from.
We CUSTOM MAKE
every product we sell according to your choices. Our eBay Store customers
can now have all the same choices and options that we offer our website customers such as various depths, heights, colors, decorative keystones,
optional bases, and other unique options to add that distinct personal touch!
2. Does the seller offer a money back
guarantee? WG Wood Products wants you to be completely
satisfied with your purchase, and we know you will be. We deliver Purple Ribbon Customer Service every
day. If something isn't right, we'll do our best to make it right. In the unlikely event
that you may need to return a product, simply call us for a no-hassle Return
Authorization Number. We do not, however, refund shipping charges, nor do we pay for return shipping of an item unless it is deemed defective. There is a 15% restocking fee for most returned items. While we do guarantee your satisfaction with our products, and we know you will be very pleased with
what you receive, we also know that there are occasions when a return
may be inevitable. Please keep in mind however that you are ordering
CUSTOM MADE products and a 15% restocking fee will apply to most items that
are returned to us. This policy is very typical in the industry today
and is only necessary because we are in business to make a profit, not
to allow customers to "try out" our products. Certain products do not carry this 15%
restocking fee and they are item numbers: MR-3, MR-5, TP-1, TP-5, TP-7,
TP-11, TP-12, TP-13. These are items which have little or no customization other than color and we can easily resell the item should it be returned to us.
3. Does the seller offer you a product performance warranty?
WG Wood Products stands behind the products that we build. Every product
comes standard with a 6 month limited warranty for performance of the product. This warranty ensures you that there are no major defects that will interfere with the performance of your product. Minor defects can occur with the
handcrafting of your product and are not considered a warranty issue. Our
products are handcrafted by a skilled woodworker here in the U.S.A., not made in some assembly line
sweatshop in China.
However, NO product leaves our facility unless it passes our Quality
Standards. That way, we know you'll be wonderfully satisfied with the product
you receive!
4. Is the product SOLID WOOD?
Some of our competitors say their products are made from "solid wood paint grade products".
Do not be
fooled. That is a general description that includes anything
including MDF and sawdust board! All of our products are made from solid
Whitewood Radiant Pine. Whitewood Radiant Pine is not the cheap, knotty yellow pine most
people think of. Whitewood is a high quality wood, free of knots and defects.
It is every bit the equivalent of Oak, Maple and other premium woods. It
machines well and paints and stains well just like oak, maple, or any
other premium wood. Most can also be be made from
Oak as well for an upgraded price. Oak is available on our website. Our standard backer boards are masonite and there is a good reason for this. While it is not a solid wood, masonite is FAR superior when it comes to painting because it does not absorb the paint and swell and buckle like a plywood backer board would do. We know! We have used both in the past and found the masonite to be far superior in every way. A stainable backer board is available as an option if you plan to stain your product.
5. Does the seller offer you combined
shipping/handling? We have many sizes of boxes we can
utilize, so if you are ordering more than one product, chances are we can
ship them together in one package and save you money! We've learned a lot
over the last several years about how to pack items to avoid damage and we
put that knowledge to good use with every packaged order. We ship via FedEx
Ground and each package is insured. Keep in mind however, that FedEx, UPS and USPS have recently changed the way they calculate shipping rates for the larger packages. So even though one of our larger items may not weigh 50 pounds, you must pay the 50 pound dimensional rate weight for shipping of it because of the size box required to get the item to you safely!
6. Does the seller donate any profits to
charity? As stated above, we donate a portion of our
profits to Cancer Research. So purchasing our products will help support the
basic research into the causes of this dreaded disease, and hopefully one day
produce a cure.
7. Do you have a way to contact the seller? One of our competitors not only doesn't list a phone number or address, but he also hides his email address. You are merely left with the Contact the Seller link from his auctions. What if that gets you no response? What then? We are a legitimate business with a website, an eBay Store, and a real business address which includes our local showroom (see below for a photo of our location). 8. Do you have questions about the installation of our products? We not only sell our products, but we install them locally as well! One of our owners is an HBA Home Builder here in Kansas City. So whatever questions you can come up with, we CAN answer!
9. Do you offer discounts for purchasing multiple products? YES! although our pricing is wholesale and the bulk of our business is with builders and remodelers, we do extend our contractor discount (10% off) for the public when they are purchasing three of more products. Just let us know you plan to purchase multiple products and we will send you a corrected PayPal invoice from which to pay.
10. Are your finishes sprayed or brushed on? We use only Sherwin Williams enamels for our finishes and each finish is sprayed on in our state of the art paint booth. Our finisher is a commercial painter with 20+ years experience. He caulks the joints and primes the pieces, sands them, then applies the finish color using high tech HVLP spray equipment.
11. Do you build custom sizes? YES! We build custom size products all the time. Just let us know what model you are interested in and what the dimensions of the "hole" are that you are trying to fill and we can let you know if we can produce it for you. Typically, for true custom size pieces, we charge the normal price of the product, plus a nominal custom fee to help cover the additional materials needed and/or the time needed to refigure all of the dimensions. There may also be additional shipping involved since upsizing a product may put make it such that it won't fit in our standard size boxes and/or it gets large enough that the box hits the Oversize category. These are just things to keep in mind when ordering custom size products. Also, we work our custom size product orders into our production schedule along with our regular orders and stock production, so additional lead time may also be necessary.
