Regimental German Beer Stein

Up for bid is a Vintage German Regimental beer steins, one with a unique lithophane base. The image appears when it is held up to the light, revealing a scene of a soldier courting his sweetheart. The body of the porcelain stein is decorated with detailed military scenes with infantry and cannons.  In the center of the stein is an image of a Crown with the number "63" and an image of someone important.   Around the top of the stein is the phrase "4.Batt.2 Dass Feld.Art.RGT.No 63,, Frankfurt in Mainz. 1910~11".   Images are multi-colored and vibrant.   Pewter lid has a cannon themed finial - the cannon moves up and down.  The pewter lid also has engraved measurements all around it and the thumb lift on the handle has a pewter horse with a military figure.   There are also two metallic bronze type painted areas - top and bottom bands encasing the painted image.
The decorative scenes are intact and the colors vivid with minimal rubbing. The lid has a desirable oxidized patina outside and is a bit shinier on the inside.   The pewter lid is loose and there is an area on the on the thumb lift that is attached to the handle where it may have been repaired.  Looks like a soldering area?  The stein is slightly dirty on the bottom and inside.  It has not been cleaned.
