Rembrandt etching "A beggar in Callot's manner"
"A beggar in Callot's manner" - This is a nice photographically created reproduction created circa 1930 from an authentic first or early state Rembrandt etching. The piece is taken from from H.W. Singer's master catalogue raisonne, Complete Etchings of Rembrandt, printed circa 1930 in New York. The etching is reproduced on a nice thick cream paper and tipped at the top onto a larger sheet which contains title of piece in four languages and catalogue number. Most of these are difficult to locate in any form worthy of framing other than very expensive originals or restrikes, so this is a good opportunity to acquire a nice quality exact reproduction. We do not have them all, because our set was not complete, but have many if you would like to inquire about specific pieces. These are quite suitable for framing and would be pleasing as such. We would suggest trimming inside the text and framing the tipped on image sheet itself for a nice result.
Total Image sheet size is 2-1/4" x 4-1/2", printed circa 1930 by E. Weyhe, New York.
From an extensive collection of 18th and 19th century etchings, engravings, manuscripts and maps.
Image detail as well as full sheet are pictured.
This item was hand picked for its image quality, paper quality, and visual appeal.
Suitable for framing.
