| Synopsis | This book contains two complete, interconnected romantic suspense novels by Nora Roberts--one of which is written under her pseudonym, J.D. Robb. In the first story Laine Tavish attempts to find the long-missing loot from a robbery carried off by her father. A handsome insurance investigator named Max Gannon aids her search. The second story takes places 50 years later and centers on a mystery involving Laine and Max's granddaughter, Samantha Gannon. When Samantha's housesitter is murdered, New York City police officer Eve Dallas and her husband Roarke, become convinced that the murder is somehow related to the robbery pulled off by Samantha's great-grandfather.
