Wonderfully illustrated throughout including many double-page maps!

Complete 4 Volume set . Volumes 1-4. The 9 volume sets have roughly 350 pages per volume. However, this 4 volume set has approx. 800 pages per volume.

Quarter bound leather cover with brown cloth cover boards. 4 raised bands on the spine. Embossed gold writing on covers. Raised details on the spine. Marbles end sheets and marbled edges. Frontispieces protected by rice paper. Engravings. Edge wear on leather corners. Spine leather is dry chipped and fragile, some large chunks missing from spines. Very good interior!

TIGHT BINDINGS! Very worn at creases. Some cover boards detached from spine, otherwise good condition! CLEAN TEXT! .
