A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
This auction is a chrome kneeling Flying Lady car mascot from a 1930's Rolls Royce. Mounted on a Carrera Marble base, it stands 5 1/2 in. high.
There are no markings, and I can not tell if this is original, or a later casting. It is quite heavy weighing approx 4 lb. with the base.
Not knowing the origin, but from strictly a collectable point of view, this is a dynamic piece which would be welcome in any collection.
Questions and answers about this item
Q: Does the actual ornament measure 5 and 1/2 inches high or does that include the stand? Also is the stand included in the sale? Thanks very much - Byron. A: It's actually closer to 5 in., and yes the height includes the stand, as well as the auction.
