Rose oil is rich in antioxidants and has a soothing, toning, and beautifying effect on the skin. Rose oil has the highest vibration of all essential oils and is considered the heart oil, increasing ones sense of well being and joy. Rose Essential Oil (Bulgarian)Botanical Name: Rosa damascena Traditional Use: Employed extensively in soaps, cosmetics, toiletries, and perfumes of all types. Properties: Antidepressant, anti-infectious, antiphlogistic, antiseptic, antitubercular agent, antiviral, aphrodisiac, astringent, bactericidal, choleretic, cicatrisant, cytophylactic, depurative, emmenagogue, emollient, hemostatic, hepatic, laxative, pectoral, regulator of appetite, sedative (nervous), stomachic, and tonic (heart, liver, stomach, uterus). Benefits: Amenorrhea, aphrodisiac, asthma, broken capillaries, childbirth, cholecystitis, coughs, depression, dry skin, eczema, emotional crisis, general tonic, frigidity, hay fever, headache, herpes, impotence, infertility, insomnia, leucorrhea, liver congestion, mature and sensitive complexions, menorrhagia, nausea, nervous tension and stress-related complaints, palpitations, poor circulation, scarring, skin problems, uterine disorders, and wrinkles. Blends Well With: It blends well with most oils and is useful for ‘rounding off’ blends. Bergamot, chamomile roman, clary sage, geranium, jasmine, lavender, lemon, mandarin, neroli, patchouli, petitgrain, sandalwood, ylang ylang, and vetiver. Of Interest: Fresh flowers are picked before 8 A.M. Rosa comes from the Greek roden, meaning “red,” as the ancient rose was thought to have been crimson. In myth, the rose was supposed to have sprung from the blood of Adonis (some accounts say Venus). Although the oil is obliquely referred to in the ancient Indian Ayruvedas and is mentioned by Homer in the Iliad, the first known rose oil distilleries existed in the year 1612 in Shiraz, part of Persia. Color: Yellow Common Uses: Rose is a very common oil in the perfume and aromatic industry. Aromatherapists also credit it with being an exotic aphrodisiac, as an emollient in skin care products, and as a balancer of the spirit. Consistency: Viscous Note: Medium to Top Strength of Aroma: Strong - Penetrating and Long Lasting Blends well with: Rose Moldovian generally blends well with all oils, it is insoluble in water. Aromatic Description: Rose Moldovian is a very complex, sweet floral scent. Its reputation of being a must ingredient in perfumes is well deserved. ** It is important to note that all absolutes are extremely concentrated by nature. They should not be evaluated in this state unless you are accustomed to the undiluted fragrance. For those trying Absolutes for the first time, we strongly recommend they be evaluated in dilution. Otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance - particularly the rare and exotic notes - become lost. History: Approximately 4000 kilograms of petals are required to produce 1 kilogram of pure rose oil. It's exotic nature and value were appreciated in ancient times by the Greeks, Chinese, Indians, Persians and Romans.
