Roseville Rozane 1917 Large Jardinière.

Shape 588-10, Ivory Color

This is the large jardinière in the Rozane 1917 line.  The line is adorned with a dimpled surface and sprays of flowers.

This early Roseville jardinière stands 9-1/8" tall.  The mouth is 9" wide.  The belly is 11" wide.  The foot is 6" wide to the outside of the foot ring.

It is in astounding shape for a large utilitarian vessel of this age.  There are no chips, cracks, or restorations.  There is a tiny void in one of the surface dimples as shown.  I believe this to be from a bubble during slip casting.  There are a few "pencil marks" as shown in close ups.  The dimpled surface has a few areas of dark scuffing to the high points a shown in close ups.

 Marked with the early "ink stamp" blue underglaze mark.
