You are bidding on a chunk of rough, unpolished blue green Mexican amber from Simojovel, Chiapas.  Mexican amber is from the Miocene and Oligocene epochs and is 22-26 million years old.  Mexican amber, like Dominican amber, formed from the hymenaea protera tree.  All of my amber comes from the source.  Here is your chance to get a nice piece of this otherwise hard to get amber!

This specimen weighs 9 grams and measures 1 3/4 in X 1 1/8 in X 5/8 in.  The color is blue green when the sun is shining on it and a rich golden when the sun is shining through it.  This could be cut, carved, polished or kept as a museum specimen.  The clarity is depicted in the first few pictures.
