Up for auction is a beautiful set of Royal Albert china, in the stunning and popular Old Country Roses pattern.  If you do a search for this pattern from highest to lowest, I think you'll find that this is the most reasonably priced large set listed on ebay today! 

This gorgeous pattern consists of roses in stunning shades of red, pink and yellow, surrounded by green foliage.  Each piece is fluted and scalloped for added beauty.  The rim of each piece is covered in a thick gold dusting, giving this pattern a very unique finish.  This set was purchased several years ago and is marked with the Royal Albert Old Country Roses England 1962 LTD. backstamp (newer pieces are made elsewhere).  Many people are confused by the "1962" back stamp, which is a newer mark that was used from 1973 until 2003 when production ceased in England and is NOT the date that the piece was made, as many sellers claim.

This set is in excellent condition with NO chips, cracks or crazing!  The patterns are perfect with no loss or fading.  The thick gold shows no wear or loss.  Only a few faint utensil and stacking marks are present, visible only upon incredibly close inspection on some of the pieces with many pieces having never been used.  The oval bowl is an older piece but is also in very nice condition.  The chargers, tray and rings are all brand new and have never been used.  An excellent way to start or add to your Old Country Roses collection!
