Presented here for consideration is a Royal Doulton Gum Trees “A” Trio. The gum trees “A” series was initially introduced in 1934 and it was withdrawn during WWII c. 1942. There seven scenes associated with this series. The  saucer and side plate are decorated with the same scene, while the cup has a different scene.

Printed by hand on the base of all three parts of this trio is the pattern number “D.3506”. Impressed into the base of the side plate is the production date code 6.35: June 1935. All three items are stamped with the appropriate maker’s mark.

  • Dimensions

The side plate is 14.8 cm (5.8”) across, the saucer has a diameter of 14.5 cm (5.5”) and the cup is 7.5 cm (3”) tall.

  • Condition

This magical trio is in AS NEW condition with NO chips, cracks, stains or repairs and NO crazing. This is exactly the same as it was the day it came out of the kiln nigh on 75 years ago. It has obviously never known the rigors’ of the outback and has the cushy life of a cabinet dweller

I just love this very Aussie pattern, it is poular and not very easy to come by. This is a prize well worth the owning; hit the BUY IT NOW tab and make sure it is not pilfered right out from under your nose.
