A RARE piece of EARLY Series Ware - A JUG in the rarely seen series HUNTSMEN AT THE INN - stamped underneath with the Royal Doulton, England backstamp and D2778 - introduced in 1906 and withdrawn by 1928.  Height is about 12cms or 4 & 3/4 inches.  It has a lovely border around the top with pictures of leather bottles hanging from rope.

CONDITION IS EXCELLENT - just wonderful condition for its age - lovely bright strong colours -  no chips, cracks, or repairs and only a tiny bit of fine light crazing which you have to look hard to see. There is a black dot on the inside on the bottom mentioned for total accuracy.  Any light marks are from the camera flash.
