Russian M 1881 Artillery Officer Shashka

M 1881 Russian Artillery Officer Sword (Shashka). Blade is clean with Length being 31 1/2". Overall length in scabbard is 38 1/4". Slightly curved, double edged near the tip. Wooden scabbard wrapped in dark brown leather with some loses to the leather. Original brass fittings and knuckle bow and nice quality hardwood grip with the crack across (stable). Matching Cyrillic "A" arsenal stamps to the throat of the blade, all brass fittings of the scabbard, the pommel and brass parts of the hilt. The inside of the knuckle bow has stamped unit markings. The blade has circular stamp of the Zlatoust Factory with double-headed eagle warrant, and the date "1809". The outer side of the knuckle bow shows rectangular stamp "Zlatoust Factory" and the 1916 date of manufacture Very good original conditions . Email me with any questions.
