Russian .875 Silver Traveling Tea Set with Rattan Covered Handles
Circa 1908-1926 St. Petersburg

This is a traveling set and once may have had more spoons and a case. It must have been a 25th anniversary gift. It is monogrammed with a crown above a set of initials and an XXV for 25. The handles can be removed for washing or travel. There are 10 pieces in total. The weight of the whole set is 2 lbs 14.6 oz. The sugar bowl has one handle that is a bit loose and tends to fall off and a dent to the bottom edge.

There is a teapot with a stand and warmer, coffee or hot water pot, cream jug, lidded sugar bowl, liquor flask, two spoons, and the last container may have been for loose tea. The set is in excellent condition and is so wonderful. It would be perfect for tea for two. I cannot get the handle off of the cream jug and I don't want to force it. They all have a pristine gold wash on the inside. They are all marked with a Kokoshnik for St. Petersburg and 84 purity. There is a makers mark of "BK" but it is unknown. It has a smaller Kokoshnik with the woman's head facing right inside a circle. This mark appears multiple times on every piece except for the spoons. Even the warmer, once taken apart has the mark.

Smaller teapot: With handle 5 inches wide by 2 3/8 inches tall
Sugar pot: With handles 4 3/4 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches tall
Cream Jug: With handle 4 5/8 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches tall
Rectangular container: 4 1/2 inches tall by 2 1/8 inches wide
Warmer stand: 2 3/4 inches tall by 4 inches wide
Warmer: 2 3/4 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches tall
Liquor flask: 4 3/4 tall by 2 3/8 inches wide
Spoons: 4 1/2 inches long
