Place Vendome commissioned by King Luis XiV and designed by Jules Hardouin- Mansart, architect of the Palace of Versailes, is defined by its majestic proportions and strong sense of symmetry as well as by its octagonal shape, unique in the world. S.T. Dupont has been inspired by this mistical Square to create a new limited edition.
Lighter echo the architecture of the buildings in the square. Napoleon's famous quotation" Impossible n'est pas francais"(nothing is imposssible for the French) is engarved on lighters roller. Lighters are decorated with sumptuous cornices precious hematite's and the subtle colour of gray laquer, all set off by a luxurious palladium finish. Lighters are numbered out of 1810 in reference when Napoleon erected the Vendome Column.
